Denise Robinson is a Tasmanian woman with palawa (paternal) and English/Scottish (maternal) bloodlines. She has over 40 years’ experience working in administration and management with 25 of those in the arts and creative sector.
Denise is committed to the development of, and capacity building for Aboriginal creative practice in Tasmania with specific focus on mentoring and professional development.
A highly accomplished artist, arts administrator, and project manager, she has held a diverse range of senior roles in government departments and agencies, corporate business, community, and industry sectors as well as managing her own professional arts practice. She has lived and studied overseas and has sat on many Arts and Community committees, panels and boards.
Denise is the Chair of the Tasmanian Museum and Art Gallery’s Aboriginal Advisory Council, a Board Director with Tasdance, and is a member of the City of Launceston’s Cultural Advisory Committee. She holds an MFA and BFA (Hons) from the University of Tasmania and is currently undertaking her PhD doctorate.
